Public companies usually have tickers that show the market in which they are listed — in the case of HUYA, is the New York Stock Exchange (NYS: HUYA) — knowing this is important because some companies’ shares may be available only in certain exchanges.
The second thing that you will want to know is Market Capitalization. The market cap could be used as an indicator of public opinion of a company's net worth. You can find this information in the table “eSports Stocks Ranked by Market Capitalization”.
It is very important to perform due diligence in any prospect investment. Understand the competition: do they have direct competitors or not? How strong are the competitors? You also would like to know in which country the company is based — so people prefer to invest in companies close to home, as they perceive less risk or at least a facility to obtain timely information. The criteria are shown in the table “Due Diligence for eSports Stocks”.
Finally, you will like to know who has invested in the company before (or is currently an investor in the company). Large investment companies are really good at doing due diligence, and although sometimes they can make bad calls, you definitely are in a better position to follow the steps of someone who has done his homework!
